Hi, I’m Kayla, the founder of KayLiany Aesthetics LLC. I have been a nurse for over 12 years. I started out in cardiovascular medicine as a bedside nurse (RN). In 2013, I went on to advance my education with a masters degree in nursing and board certification as a family nurse practitioner (NP-C). As a nurse practitioner, I have specialized in diabetes and am also a board certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES).
Inspired by my mother and other influential women and entrepreneurs in my family, I have had an interest in aesthetic medicine for many years & even considered cosmetology before going into nursing. It has been a lifelong passion. In the late fall of 2020, after being a nurse and nurse practitioner for 7 years & investing in aesthetic training and education, I finally decided to take a leap of faith and launched KayLiany Aesthetics LLC.
I continue to work part time in endocrinology at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA while continuing to grow my medical aesthetics practice in Randolph, MA.
When it comes to why I chose this field, I have a bit of an unpopular opinion . Not everyone leaves traditional nursing because of burnout (although we’ve all experienced this). I dislike this common narrative in aesthetics. While many leaders in our field advertise entry into our industry based on this narrative, I’ve always felt this to be a little misguided even though I wholeheartedly understand where they are coming from. Me- I didn’t run from nursing—I expanded into aesthetics out of love for this field… not out of hate for my old one.
As a nurse practitioner specializing in endocrinology, I’ve developed a deep understanding of wellness, precision, and patient-centered care. That foundation isn’t something I left behind—it’s something I bring with me into every injectable, every wellness plan, and every moment with a client.
My journey isn’t about escape. It’s about synergy—merging medical expertise with aesthetic artistry to offer an elevated experience.
I have been trained by the best in the country at what I do and for that I will always be grateful. I’ve developed close relationships with hundreds of my diabetes patients over many years in practice. I love and respect my colleagues. When my moment comes to fully step away from the diabetes clinic, I will do so while cherishing all the relationships and connections I’ve made and the experience I have gained through them.
